| 19:10 hrs: Tower and Rescue 7 were alerted with Company 6 (Monarch), Engine & Rescue 49 (Amity), and Rescue 5 (Oley) for a reported roof fire after a lightning strike at Amity Manor. Chief 49 (M. Zomolsky) and had nothing evident from the exterior. After crews from 6 & 49 entered the structure, they found a working fire in the attic area. Crews from Tower 7 arrived and split their crew of six between interior firefighting, placing multiple ground ladders and searching apartments, while Rescue 7's crew assisted with exterior operations. The was quickly located and extinguished. BUFD crews were released within an hour. |
