19:27 Hrs: Company 7, along with Medic 680 (Southern Berks EMS) were dispatched to the 1400 block of E. Main Street, Union Township for a reported vehicle accident with injuries. Assistant 7 (J. Rhoads) arrived to find a single vehicle accident with the occupant in the care of EMS. The vehicle stuck a utility pole splitting it in half. The roadway was shut down, and Met-Ed was notified. Crews remained on location until Met-Ed arrived and made to utility pole safe.
