On 3/6/15 @ 1616 Company 7 was dispatched to Washington Street in Union Twp. For a Structure Fire. Chief 7 went responding and was advised that it was a Working garage fire. Engine 7-1, Tower7 and Engine 7 went responding. Chief 7 arrived on location and found a fully involved garage. Engine 7-1 and Tower 7 took the address while Engine 7 laid 800’ of 5” from the hydrant to the corner of Main Street and Garey Rd. while Quint 6 finished the layup Washington. While crews were stretching lines the roof collapsed into the structure. Crews used multiple saws to cut the roof up to get at the fire. The cause of the fire was a wood burning stove.
