Memorial Day started off as normal for the BUFD with our participation in the VFW annual parade. The members work hard to clean up all the equipment to show our pride to our communities. This year we were able to show off our newest addition a 100’ tower ladder that we have just bought from the West End Fire Company of Quakertown, PA. Our new Tower increases our reach by 25’ and also is equipped with a 2000 GPM Pump and a 300 gal water tank. In short while the truck will be going for paint and lettering and should be in service by mid-June.
A short time after the parade the BUFD was dispatched to a MVA on Chestnut Street (345) and Shed Road for a MVA with injuries. Rescue 7 went responding shortly followed by Engine 7. Chief 7 arrived on Location to find a motorcycle into the side of a car with the motorcyclist on the ground. Crews assisted EMS with PT care and help load the PT into the ambulance.
Shortly after returning to station the crews were dispatched to Rustic Park for a vehicle leaking fuel. Chief 7 and rescue arrived on location and found that no services were needed and cleared the scene.
Later that night crews were dispatched to Armorcast drive for a mulch fire.
Just another weekend were we live up to our slogan of “Never a Dull Moment”.
