Tower 7 was called to assist Southern Berks EMS at 07:24 for a patient extrication on the 300 block of W. 2nd Street. Ems was dispatched to the scene for an advanced life support call but was not able to get the patient down from the 2nd floor of the residence. Due to the age of the structure and interior design of the stairway, EMS determined the safest removal of the patient would be the use of the Tower bucket. Once removed from the residence, Ems transported the patient to the hospital.
