| 12:05 hrs. Rescue 7 was dispatched with Company 25 (Exeter Twp) and M680 (Southern Berks EMS) for a high angle rescue. Chief 7 (C. Bickings) arrived to find a cherry picker bucket that had two men trapped from a falling tree that they had cut. Rescue 7's crew assisted Rescue 25's crews with staging of equipment while Tower 25 was positioned to reach the occupants. The fallen tree, which was resting on the bucket, and the bucket were secured to the tree trunk, after which the first occupant was removed from the bucket while the second occupant remained trapped by his foot. His foot was removed after the crew cut a portion of the tree with a reciprocating saw. The patient was then extricated and delivered to the waiting EMS crew. |
