18:46 Hrs: While Engine 7 was cleaning up from a brush pile fire, Chief 7 (C. Bickings) was notified by Berks Communications of an accident with entrapment at E. First and Spruce Streets. Chief 7 arrived within a minute and found a two vehicle accident. One vehicle was on it's side with one occupant entrapped. M680 (Southern Berks EMS) arrived immediately after and began assessing multiple patients. Crews from Engine and Rescue 7 stabilized the vehicle while controlling oil and anti freeze leaking on the ground. After stabilizing the vehicle, the patient, who was uninjured, self extricated from the vehicle. Crews remained on location while the tow service uprighted the vehicle. Crews were cleared by 20:00 hrs.
