12:55 hrs: Crews were alerted to the 900 blk of Chestnut St (Rt. 345) for a reported brush fire. When Chief 7 (C. Bickings) responded he was informed that the caller reported approximately 1 acre involved. Brush 6 (Monarch) was then added to the assignment. Chief 7 arrived and found the back yard of the residences well involved and wind gust pushing the fire up the hill behind the neighbors house. Crews from 7, 6, and 24 (Geigertown) worked for over an hour to extinguish the fire. A total of about 2 acres burned.
