2059: Company 7, Rescue-Engine 6 and Southern Berks EMS were dispatched to East Main Street and Red Corner Road for an auto accident with a motorcycle versus a car. Responding units were advised of a motorcyclist down with major injuries. Assistant 7 arrived on location at 2105 and established Union Command. Command requested a second medic unit. Upon arrival of Rescue-Engine 6 and Rescue 7, crews began care for the two patients involved in the accident. Once the medic units arrived on scene, patient care was transferred and Rescue 7 and Engine 7-1 then set up lighting to assist the state police with their investigation. Fire Police had Route 724 shut down between Shed Road and Red Corner Road for the duration of the incident. All units cleared the scene at 0035.
