14:20hrs, Company the alerted to the area along the Schuylkill River behind the Mathew Brooke Building for a reported brush fire. FM-29 (Templin) arrived to find smoke showing from the parking lot. Deputy 7 (Kulp) arrived, assumed Birdsboro Command and found a large rapidly moving brush fire requiring calling for additional brush units and water tankers to assist. Crews worked for 45 minutes to bring the fire under control and an additional two hours to overhaul the area. A total of approximately 2 acres was left burned from the fire.
