Friendship Farm Market Gutted by Fire in Amity Township

19:41 Hrs: Tower 7 was alerted to assist Company 49 (Amity) for a possible structure after an explosion. Chief 49 arrived and reported a working fire. Crews from 49 and 6 (Monarch) arrived and initiated an aggressive interior attack but was later pulled from the building due a frozen hydrant and a lack of water supply. A 2nd alarm was struck added Engine 7 to the assignment.
Tower 7's crews performed truck company operations by opening up the roof. Crews assisted with overall extinguishment and overhaul. Engine 7 provide water to the scene through numerous Tanker trucks.
The fire remains under investigation of the State Fire Marshall's Office.
