On Sunday May 18th, approximately 25 retired firefighters gathered at the Friendship Fire Company Social Hall's banquet hall for a reunion. Retired members of Friendship Fire Company as far back as 1950 came together to remember their service to Borough Borough and the surrounding communities. The company's original 1972 rescue truck, which is still in use by the City of Reading Fire Department SCUBA Rescue Team was brought to visit. The retirees were later joined by several of the active members of BUFD and spent the afternoon reviewing news clipping and pictures of past emergencies in the area.
