1321 hrs: Company 7, Chester County Rescue 64 (Norco), M680 (Southern Berks EMS), and Montgomery County M329 (Pottstown Goodwill) were dispatched to the area of Route 724 and Unionville Road, Union Township for a Accident with Entrapment and multiple patients. Rescue-Engine 6 (Monarch) was later added by Deputy 7 (C. Bickings) for manpower. Crews arrived to find both drivers trapped and two additional patients. Crews worked together to quickly extricate both patients. One driver was flown by MedEvac 3, and the other three patients were driven to area hospitals. In addition to this, crews from BUFD handled 3 medical emergencies and a pedestrian struck by an automobile during the afternoon hours in the extreme temperatures.
