The busy day started off at 00:44 Hrs. for a report of wires down in the 1200 Block of East Main St. in Union Township. Chief 7 arrived on scene to find a one vehicle accident, with a sheared pole and wires down in the roadway. The driver was out of the vehicle and not injured. The crew from Rescue 7 secured the area and applied oil dry. East Main St. was closed in both directions for eight hours. 06:37 Hrs. Engine 7 and Tower 7 were dispatched to the Exeter Walmart on Perkiomen Ave. for a reported building fire. Crews assisted with investigating an electrical odor inside the store, and were released by Exeter Command a short time later. 10:02 Hrs. Engine 7 and Tower 7 were dispatched to Ridgeway Circle in Exeter Township for a dwelling fire. Both crews stood by while the first in units investigated an electrical odor in a residence. 15:42 Hrs. Tower 7 was requested by Amity Command for assistance at a vehicle accident in the 300 Block of East Ben Franklin Highway. Monarch and Amity units were on scene of a one vehicle accident with one female patient. The accident occurred approximately 15 hours prior to Fire Department notification. Tower 7 was placed in service to provide a secondary search of the area around the vehicle. No other occupants were found, and the Tower was released by Amity Command a short time later.
