14:30 Hrs. The Department along with Rescue Engine 6 and Southern Berks EMS were alerted to the intersection of RT 724 and River Bridge Rd. for a vehicle accident with injuries. Lieutenant 6 arrived on scene and reported two vehicles in the intersection and requested the roadway shut down. Rescue Engine 6 and Rescue 7 arrived and assisted EMS with patient care. RT 724 was shut down between Black Matt Rd. and Red Corner Rd. while crews operated at the scene.
